About Spark
Who
Spark is built and operated by Mergeflow. We are a small, distributed team, with offices in Munich and New York.
Mergeflow was founded by Florian Wolf. Florian has a PhD from MIT, and he has built software in bioinformatics, finance, and advanced text and language analytics. He considers himself a pretty decent technology sleuth. But he enjoys building a lot more than sleuthing. Which is why he is building Spark, so he can automate away the sleuthing.
Why
R&D engineers have to spend valuable time collecting and organizing information instead of innovating. External intelligence from consultants is slow, expensive, and often limited to executives due to cost constraints.
Furthermore, these necessary but non-value-creating activities create bottlenecks for innovation throughout the company.
With Spark, we aim to:
